COMMUNICATIONS SUPPORT UNIT
INFORMATION
The communications support unit, based at FESA headquarters in Belmont, consists of twenty volunteers, whose 'daytime' jobs range from student, to semi-skilled and professional to retired. The purpose of the unit, which trains on Wednesday nights, is to provide communications training and support to the WASES, and other agencies (such as fire, police services, etc), statewide.
We
regularly visit local WASES units and other agencies to make them aware
of who we are, what we do, and what resources we have available. We also
assist other units and agencies by providing equipment and personnel for
displays, parades, exercises, or local PR events where possible. We have
over 150 years of combined communications experience amongst our personnel,
and we are happy to use this experience, where possible, to aid those
who request our assistance.
We are always looking for new members, so if you are interested in joining
our unit or you would like to know more about us and what we do, please
click here for our contact details. Unfortunately we are unable to provide application forms via our website, however an application pack can be collected during your visit to our unit.
